Bob Gerstenberger
Bob began his teaching career at a Christian school in Aurora, Colorado, where he taught general music, speech and drama, instrumental music, and directed musicals. It was in Aurora that he felt a call to music ministry. After teaching there for 7 years, Pastor Bob went to Madison, Indiana to become a music pastor at Madison First Assembly Of God Church, where he was in charge of praise and worship teams, choir, a student instrumental ensemble, and musical productions.
In 1994 he expanded his ministry as the Children’s Pastor of Lakeview Christian Center, also directing children’s musicals with over 100 children attending the weekly practices and the performance. After serving as the Children’s Pastor for 6 years, he helped to pioneer a new church plant from Lakeview Christian Center in Avon, Indiana. He then began teaching private instrumental lessons in 5 different public schools.
In 2006 Pastor Bob and his wife, Debbie, felt a call to plant a family integrated church, Cross Generations Church in Franklin, TN. He has been teaching music classes in Franklin, Spring Hill, at Lighthouse Christian Academy Homeschool tutorial, and at Nashville Notes. Pastor Bob was the first music teacher for the first five years of Grace Christian Academy near Liepers Fork, TN, associated with Grace Chapel.
His fun hands on approach to teaching music has earned him the reputation of having one of the best and most economically priced music classes in Middle Tennessee. Also serving as a substitute teacher in Williamson County, Pastor Bob is often personally requested to fill in for music teachers. Students call him “The Music Man” and are excited to come to music class. Your child will hardly know they are learning because of how much fun they are having!
